Bear Creek Festival
19th Annual Bear Creek Festival: June 7, 2020 ***CANCELLED***
The Schuylkill Conservation District is sad to announce that the 2020 Bear Creek Festival has been cancelled. We held out hope that perhaps by early June we could all emerge and enjoy a gathering, but after discussion with our staff and board of directors, it still does not seem like it will be an appropriate time for this type of event.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 6, 2021! We will continue to plan for the 2021 festival with extra eagerness to once again celebrate all things environmental, outdoors, natural, and agricultural in Schuylkill County.
The Bear Creek Festival is a family-oriented event that offers visitors many fun educational activities related to our environment. This event is free and open to the public.
There are FREE events and activities for all ages! Past activities have included:
- Build your own bluebird house with Home Depot
- Paint a flower pot
- Schuylkill County Trout Unlimited’s annual fishing derby
- Animal talks given by the Red Creek Wildlife Center
- Live music
